What are the Best Banner Sizes for Google Adsense?


When it comes to using Google Adsense, you have a lot of options on banner sizes and different ways to deliver ads through out your site. In this post we are going to highlight the best sizes and most effective ways for you to make money with Google Adsense on your web site or blog.

While there are many alternatives to Google Adsense, the banners that are used in online advertising are usually in the same realm. Knowing what sizes to use and where to place them will greatly effect your overall earnings and success with different programs.

From traditional sizes, to strange and weird… Google Adsense has a wide selection of banners for your to choose from. When running Google Adsense, you have the option between running text ads, display ads, or both. Since they are the most popular ads, we have listed each of TEXT/Display banner sizes below.

  • Leaderboard (728 x 90)

  • Banner (468 x 60)

  • Button (125×125)

  • Half Banner (234×60)

  • Skyscraper (120×600)

  • Wide Skyscraper (160×600)

  • Small Rectangle (180×150)

  • Vertical Banner (120 x 240)

  • Small Square (200 x 200)

  • Medium Rectangle (300 x 250)

  • Large Rectangle (336 x 280)

Which Google Adsense Ad Sizes are the Best?

As you can see, some of the banner sizes that Google Adsense offers are weird sizes, but many of them will look familiar. Many people have found the best results with the 336×280 banner sizes, simply because they are so big and will fit the most text advertisers and descriptions.

However, the BEST performing banners are actually the traditional sizes banners, such as the 728×90, 468×60 and 300×250. The reason is that all of the major advertise create most of their inventory with these banner sizes, which means they have the biggest need for traffic and advertising budgets.

What are the Best Google Adsense Locations?

You are always going to make the most money by blending in your Google Adsense ads within your content. Preferably within your text content or right above your blog posts.

    I thought you were banned from Adsense?

      Yes, but that doesn’t mean millions of other websites and marketers aren’t using Google Adsense.
