Creating Your First Autoresonder Series
There are many ways to monetize a web site. You can sell banner ads, create your own product or even build your own membership based site. However one of the most successful and used methods for creating long term revenue and growth is through the use of your own mailing list, but specifically an autoresponder series.
Let’s quickly take a look at five reasons why creating an autoresponder series for your web site or blog is an excellent idea!
- Very low investment (Less than $20/m)
- Month after month growth
- Working for you 24 hours, every day
- Builds a relationship with the reader
- Places your traffic into a sales funnel
If you’ve never setup a mailing list or autoresponder series of your own, it may sound confusing, but it’s actually quite simple to setup. There are several mailing list providers out there that have systems in place for you to set an account up. I have listed three of the major mailing solutions below.
Once you are setup with any of these providers you can then add a mailing list form onto your site. The next thing you will need to do is create an autoresponder series, which will send out mailings to your subscribers on a daily or weekly basis. The great thing about autoresponders is that you only need to set them up once and they will keep mailing out content to all of your subscribers, all on the same schedule.
An excellent way to get people to join your mailing list at an increased rate, is to think up a bonus or special that you can offer to your readers. This is usually done with a free ebook or pdf report. It’s much better to offer a free gift in exchange for an email signup versus simply posting a form that says “Join our mailing list”, which no one will really have an interest in.
Depending on the niche or setup of your site, you will need to find a way to provide quality content to your readers, while slightly selling them in the process. The most important thing is to create quality and build a long term relationship. The full process can be seen in my autoresponder creation process post I’ve previously written. You can follow these steps for any niche you are in, which will build a powerful sales funnel that will keep working for you day after day.
