Facebook Introduced the Call-to-Action Button for Pages: Are You Using It?
Today's Editor's Picks
If you haven’t heard (or seen it) by now then you’re in for a real treat if you utilize the platform and have a fan page. Facebook has rolled out a call-to-action button for pages!
The button allows for quite a few different, basic types of buttons including:
- Book Now
- Contact Us
- Use App
- Play Game
- Shop Now
- Watch Video
Each gives you the basic form which is a URL and option URL if you have a mobile website.
This kind of feature is already prominent in FB advertising but it adds a whole new layer of engagement for your fan members and visitors.
Imagine the possibilities of:
- Using the ‘Book Now’ when you’re building buzz around an event
- Using the ‘Use App’ if you want attention to your business app
- Using the ‘Shop Now’ if you’ve released a new product
It’s not the most exciting feature we’ve seen pop up on fan pages in a while but it does take care of the issue of Facebook pushing the older tabs and links down further on the page.
It makes us wonder… could you use those buttons effectively for an affiliated product?
We wouldn’t say to go around testing direct links but we do think it would be amazing to see what’s possible if you’re sending individuals to a sales page, video/capture page, or pointing people to something such as a webinar.
We’re sure you and many others will come up with quite a few ways to capitalize on this neat feature in your business. Go on and see if it’s available for your page and put it into the (call-to) action!
