StrongMail Study Results Can Benefit Affiliates

 

StrongMail has recently published the results of their much anticipated marketing trends survey. With this information, affiliate marketers can gain valuable insight into the minds of consumers and businesses.


While the study is full of great information, as an affiliate marketing professional you want to focus on one detail: social media and email marketing will continue to increase in popularity in 2012.


According to the survey, social media (55 percent) and email marketing (60 percent) will receive increased attention and spending in the year to come.


Check out this statistic: more than two-thirds of companies plan to integrate social media and email in the coming year. Along with this, the study showed a strong tie between social media and email marketing. Approximately 47 percent of companies plan to spend more money using email marketing to increase social media productivity.


On the surface, this study from StrongMail may not seem like a big deal. But as an affiliate marketer, you can learn a lot from these numbers.


With more companies spending time and money on social media, you should do the same. As these companies increase their social media productivity they will see an uptake in the number of friends and followers on sites including Facebook and Twitter. For this reason, it makes sense for affiliates to jump on board with this trend. Through the increased use of social media, you will be able to connect with a variety of companies and those that are interested in their products and services.


If you don’t want to get left behind, make sure you are willing to follow these trends and become more involved with social media and email marketing in 2012. By mixing old strategies with new, you can grow your audience and better communicate with your target market.
