I really don't think diving in would be the best first step.
Start by gaining as much knowledge as you can before actually signing up to a program.
There is a wealth of information out there, and you could really benefit from taking the time and reading as much as you can.
After research, you need to think of the actual product you think you can promote the best. Identifying you target audience. Planning out an outline strategy of the steps you plan on taking in terms of priority, and finally deciding who to work with.
Remember that your success depends on you and only you. The more you do and "invest" in your business the more likely you are to succeed. It has nothing to do with luck.
