You've got a great start, I like the color scheme and think it will be the foundation for a great looking site. A couple things stood out that need some improvement. First there is a box on the right about half way down that references some forum, it has scrolling bars for the width and height. I don't know if that is the best way to have it display. Finally, if you've read many of my reviews, you'll know I'm not big on banners. You didn't go overboard, but you do have a few. As you continue to work, keep in mind that many people are offput by banners.
