Default Fishing website?

My friend and I are about to start a website dedicated to local fishing.

We feel there is a nice market for it where we live - because of all the crappy sites on top of the SERPS.

We also want to do a forum (like this vBulletin one) for the site to dominate other forums in the industry/niche.

Any suggestions on how to approach?

Also, how do you get your main site header and footer (PHP) to stay on the forum layout at bottom and top? Is this easy?

Thanks!

Awesome idea Corp..similar to you we have lots of rivers up here where I am and my husband is an avid fisherman ( I have a damn 20 pound salmon stuffed on a wall )

A few things because he is always searching and these are things that we have a hard time finding. Derbys there are some great ones out there up in the northern area that you have a hard time finding, pond farms for kids..must have spent forever searching for that one and came up with one. What type of fish is avaiailable in what area. This I think is so funny sometimes. You can search and the information is so out of date and yet all it would take is a simple call to one of the pro/tack shops to find out whats happening. I think if you can really out do the competition in terms of research you will get a forum running in no time.

That is a great idea for a site corp. there will be tons of ways to monetize it too.

I was expecting this forum to be asking about the best way to steal people paypal and moneybookers log ins
Great idea, yeah I can for sure see a lot of ways to monetize that type of site.
