Default Vista vs. XP - Anyone else hate Vista

I am so tired of Vista. Nothing seems to work right and now my wireless card cannot be recognized! Has any other affiliates switched back from Vista to XP.

I'm wondering how hard it is to take my computer back to XP. Has anyone reading this converted back to XP?

Thanks in advance.

As long as you have at least 2 Gigs of RAM Vista should work just fine.

I have one laptop on Vista and one on XP and I really don't prefer one over the other.

Switching from Vista to XP can be done but there is mega driver issues.

Stick with Vista Jeremy.... it mite grow on you.

"Nothing seems to work right'?....... it maybe your settings.

I can't stand Vista - trawling around for drivers and updates for a mountain of different app's is not what I need or want to be doing. I sent my new Vista laptop back after a week and insisted on the same model with XP.

I wouldn't accept buying a new car and then having to spend hours trying different oil mixtures until I got the right blend so why should I have to go around finding drivers and updates for 15 years worth of software which all worked perfectly when I updated to XP.

It's not just old software that doesn't work with vista it's the biggies like networking and adobe and even office software that doesn't work without fiddling around. Life's too short - stick with XP until they come up with something better than Vista.

I do and it is ridiculously stupid. I have been using it for the last 6 months now and cant stand it. My biggest peeve is the "Allow" "Allow" god damn it machine I said Allow. I know security checks are a great thing but how many times do I have to let it allow something before it realizes that this is what I want it to do.

I use vista and it took a few weeks to get use to it.. I really like it now, but I did uninstall the Office 2007 stuff and installed the office 2003..

Also, you can disable the "Allow" setting Kaus.. Look here: http://lifehacker.com/software/vista...pts-230866.php

Default vista sucks

hi Jeremy

as a mac user who has to try and figure out a PC I thought vista looked great

but I cant find anything and now I cant get on neteller because of active x (whoever he is ... he isnt) and just a load of other irritating doesnt work / not compatible etc

which isnt the best intro to the PC world for a diehard mac user needing to think differently (well like everyone who has aways had a PC)

glad its not just me - but I know I am most of the problem with my PC

cheers scrawnybob

Go Mac OS X, you won't regret it. That along with parallels for the rarely used WIndows application you need is the perfect combo.

Thanks Ridge. When I bought it I actually laughed because of the mac commercials poking fun at it ..humour only lasted so long.

Are you people kidding me?

I just got a new PC and I absolutely 1000% LOVE VISTA! It blows XP away by miles.

I can't say I don't like XP though...it is solid. But Vista has sooo many cool features!

And office 2007 is FANTASTIC as well.

I am buying Microsoft stock because of it.

I think most people who don't like Vista just have a shitty system with a lot of old parts.

That's my take!
