Getting Traffic to a Blog

Once you have a blog up, you need to get traffic to it for it to be any good. Aside from putting up good content, here are a few simple ways to promote your blog.

-Comment on other blogs. A useful comment with a link will usually stay up. It helps you get traffic and helps the other blog seem like it has more traffic.

- Set up an RSS feed. This way, if you can get someone to visit the site once and they like it, you will keep them coming back.

- Check the Keywords. See how people find your blog and build off of those strengths. Rather than working towards keywords of your choice, go with the flow.

- Post reviews to small products. You are more likely to have your review featured on the company website press section if it is a small start up.

- Exchange links with other small blogs. Everyone is trying to get traffic to their blog, why not join forces and help someone out. The more selective you are the better though. That will give you the best chances at actually sending good traffic and receiving the same.
