We have been talking about this in another thread and I think it deserves it's own. The idea is that since video is now such a large part of the internet, there should be a better way to optimize it. Right now you can choose your keywords and title and there is no guarantee they match what is in the video. It is very similar to the days when people could write whatever they wanted in the Meta-tags and get traffic. People would write "sex" and get thousands of viewers to their E-book site.
Our idea was that Google create a voice recognition software to listen to videos and see what the content is about. They could then match it to the keywords. There are obviously some kinks, but it is a good start of an idea.

Some of the kinks:
A video might not mention its keywords much. I.E.: my surfing video does not say the word surfing much, we just talk about how much fun we are having and it shows us surfing. The software might confuse keywords for people with accents. The "boats" "moats" confusion if you will. People might make worse videos in which they start by saying keywords a lot and then have the sales pitch. What would we do about sound effects and music?
