Default How Quickly Should an Affiliate Manager Respond?

Obviously the faster the response, the better it is for the affiliate, but you are not the only affiliate that a manager works with (despite what some affiliates think).

I think 24 hours is a good response time. Any opinions?

I think 24-48 hours is a good response time. I like to have an answer or solution and it might take at least a full working day to prepare a file, do the research, etc... But if I know I can't respond with something, I'll at least shoot off a "not leaving you hanging" type email.

It's not the case with only affiliate managers..In General..if you don't expect a reply within 24 hours from the people who are working on Internet..just assume that either they are not interested or you are being ignored..! until/unless it's a weekend..!

Cool. I didn't know if 24 hours was just a thing I had or if everyone felt the same way. Sometimes issues are a little bit more pressing than that though. Should affiliate managers be expected to answer phone calls or IM's during working hours.

For a general inquiry, 24-48 hours. If you make your request specific to where it is understood it is pressing, it should happen WITHIN that business day.

I usually am proactively contacted by affiliate managers that I contact them at anytime.

That's just my experience.

did you think about time zones though? Sometimes an affiliate manager is on the other coast or even in a different country. So their business day might not be the same as yours.

Yep, the business day I was referring to was 9 AM Eastern to 8 PM Pacific. That way, everybody is covered.

Yeah, I am agree with the thought given by Jessica. How quick the affiliate manager respond is depends on the time zone in which the affiliate and merchants works.

Let me share my experience. We are in UK and work as per the GMT time zone. We have many affiliates across the globe. We have affiliates from US, India and other part of globe also.

We reply all the queries of the UK and EU affiliates within 2-3 working hours and if we require to prepare some reports or have to do some research then it will take maximum time of 6-8 hours.

If the affiliates are from US, India etc, we will respond them within 24 working hours.

I think that is a good amount of time. Some of us still have work and school and so if we are working at night, we won't be able to check again until the next day anyway.

DerekForeal- that is 14 hours! I don't think many affiliate managers keep thos kind of hours
