The Role of Social Networking

I was just curious what most of you guys use for social networking? It seems nowadays there are so many options that don't necessarily cater to everyone. Personally, I browse a few special interest forums and I have a Facebook that I started specifically for college, years ago. I have no desire to start a MySpace and everything else almost seems like a waste of time.

Who do you use and why did you sign up? Have any of you met anyone strictly online that has been helpful?

Occasionally, I'll meet someone, find them via Facebook and actually form legitimate friendships, which I think is great.

i have a myspace that i use to add friends. facebook is kinda lame but i have one of those to i usually keep bizness and personal seperate

Well i have huge network in orkut, myspace and facebook for business. I ahve my products and my services offered for them and they enjoy it.
