Default What Are The Best Non-Gambling Affiliate Industries?

I have been wondering about this for some time and would like to hear peoples opinions on the issue. I know that the gaming industry is highly lucrative for affiliates and I am wondering if there are any other industries that are comparable or close to it in terms of commissions? I would imagine that there are some decent commissions in the finance industry but does anyone else have any suggestions? Please share what else have you had success promoting and any other industries that you enjoy.

Mortgage and Finance can both be very lucrative markets if you can generate good leads. Think debt consolidation, credit cards, ect.

Really any industry can be good if you work hard at it. It still comes down to driving traffic.

Dating is very lucrative just because everybody wants to hook up. Also if you can target local lawyer terms for a large amount of cities you can make tons.

Hey Kyle, do you care to elaborate on the local lawyer terms strategy? I've been thinking of this for a long time and one of the things we are going to do is more localized niche SEO domination and selling/leasing pages that rank on page 1 of google to local businesses... is this similar to what you are discussing here? Or is there some soft of affiliation program for lawyers?

Financial will always be around, but I am biased. I am surprised to still see mortgage hold up in limited instances since the U.S economy is slowed and the laws have become tough for consumers getting a loan. However, if you can drive certain demographics of traffic, there is still huge demand and cash to be made. Credit Scores is one to look into since now everyone needs to pay attention to it, identity theft is a growing concern and those companies offer the whole package. The Legal industry is interesting...Divorce forms, register your LLC, Last wills etc. I think there is a big opportunity in search.

just my 2 cents

I am starting to think healthcare products could be a good niche as well. The U.S. dollar is garbage and the mortgage market is in a downswing. Healthcare however is recession proof.

People are getting sick or searching about their medical problems every day on the internet. I don't have formal health insurance myself so if I got sick or had a medical problem I would definitely do my research on the internet first before going to a doctor. Now I just need to find the best healthcare products to affiliate with.

I have found success with local Australian dating affiliate programs.

They just have such wide appeal. Also, I have found an effective method of promoting them. I distribute flyers advertising a landing page on which I place the dating banners. It's all geo-targeted traffic, of course. And I can target areas where the proportion of single people is a bit higher (eg, inner city areas with lots of units, as opposed to outer suburban houses).

I don't make a million from these programs but they certainly keep on keeping on.
