Digg is impossible and probably crooked

I have submitted multiple great stories to digg and never once been able to get on even the second or third page. And mind you, they are not all my own. I think Digg is probably all ran on the inside and only certain superusers get their stories to the top anymore.

I have given up on trying to market on Digg

I think it's perfectly possible, but you need to have a lot of luck as well as a great article. You might have the best article in the world, but if it doesn't get noticed from the off and pick up momentum, it's probably going to get buried. But still, the juice will be worth the squeeze when you do make it onto the front page though. Just make sure you have enough bandwidth the handle it.

I hear most people's sites go down from all the traffic.

You need to accept that opinions differ and the thing/article which looks great to you might be look that great to others. I believe it's possible to get on to the front page BUT you need something very interesting for it. And, I'm not neglecting the presence of Digg Gang as I've seen some good stories getting buried and some bad ones making it to the front page.

I am always able to produce about 50 digs for each of my submissions however it's because I have formed a great group of friends who automatically digg my stories... So work toward that direction.. The more people you know on digg the better

So, you get dugg only from your friends, right? Ever managed 100+ dugg from people not in your group? It's been a while since I saw natural diggs on stories @ digg and this made me stop submitting stories there.

Unless you've a big network or a damn grea article, you cannot expect to get high number of Diggs.

Ask your friends to digg your story, and tell them to tell their friends too, In this way maybe some day your article would be listed on the frontpage of Digg.
