So I was reading through a thread at Webmaster World this morning about google analytics and privacy issues. It got me thinking if there were any good alternatives out there. I personally am not to concerned about privacy with Google. But I can appreciate and see how some webmasters could view this as a major concern.
I have been using analytics on all my sites for quite a while and I haven't found anything to be better. This new analytics tool I ran across this morning looks pretty interesting though. http://www.searchnewz.com/blog/talk/...Analytics.html |

I've always used and liked www.statcounter.com which is free (up to a limit). What I really like about statcounter is that you can see in real time the keywords people are finding you for and is time relative, while google analytics is more total # of searches for that phrase over time.

Statcounter looks pretty decent, however is there really anything better than Google Analytics? Another cool tool is Crazy Egg for seeing where and how often people click on areas of your website.

I recently just got rid of my GoDaddy Traffic facts account to switch everything over to Google analytics. GoDaddy was charging $3 per month and doesn't offer anything better that I could see.

Omniture and coremetrics are great for big sites.
