The reason I said that content doesn't only related to articles or blogs because most of the community boards just discuss about how to increase content or write articles...it's not just that..

Content also means developing something of your own which can be flash based, images, so first think about starting up with content and later when you have something on the website..people would automatically link you..

Let content be the king and the queen i.e links will follow you..

I will have to think about that when I just think of fresh "activities" people can partake of when they come to my blogs.

Content, good content, is king. No question. It is great to get that initial hit but if you can get that repeat look, that repeat browse, that repeat click, that repeat business, that is what is going to take your internet properties to the next level.

If only there were enough hours in the day to write as much as I wanted...*sigh*

Yes good point but just remember although those alternative forms of content are relevant to the human eye -- just remember that it is virtually blind to the Search Engine Spider Eye. These spiders eat up written content; this is what they live off of. All the flash, videos and photos are blind to them (unless maybe you're able to connect some keywords or metatags to them somehow; this may make a small difference -- but yet & still it all leads back to written content.) Bottom Line: All content can be relevant to the stickiness of your site but for search engines relevancy *Written Content is King!*

I wonder if that will ever change. It seems that people are much more responsive to video content for information, but the search engines only get to look at titles and tags for them, and they have no way of cross checking them like they can with an article.

Will Google ever be able to go through the sound of a video and derive the content based on audio?

Who knows Google is always up to something - that just may be their next big advancement!

Yeah, I mean if we are aware of the possibility I'm sure google has found a way to implement it into their Algo and probably testing it. But really, how cool would this be. Google spiders would have to set their Algo to track keyword through copy and speak to gauge a better optimized site and everyone would start have Video stream on there website, At least the one who don't have it already. So Content and spoken content would then be king.. Again I'm sure something along these lines is in the works but it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Regards,

Speech recognition technology SEO would be crazy. Think about all of the funny voices people us on youtube and how would they account for accents and different languages. I'm not saying they can't do it, I'm saying I will be super impressed when they eventually do.

It would be funny if you made a video about something like "boats" and it heard you wrong and you appeared #1 on google for the search term "moats".

Exactly, I guess speak would have to be clear as possible or the would be many "boats", "moats" mix ups with keywords.. Someone could create a speak product to ensure that spoken keywords aren't confused by Search engines. I think I'm getting a little ahead of myself though. lol

Dear Google,
We at AffiliatePrograms.com have a most excellent idea for your next update. Since we put a significant amount of though into this we would be most appreciative if you would simply send us a few thousand shares of stock a piece.
