Default Generating Blog Ideas

I just read this article about generating blog ideas and wanted to post it. It has a lot of good strategies. I think I will try it because it would be nice to have a long list of idea to work with.

Good Luck with that! 50 ideas in 50 minutes is a lot. If it works, maybe I will have to try it though.

I rarely leave any forum and check out an article right away. However, since '09 has been going rather well as far as resolutions are concerned, I decided to check the article out.

I can say it is different. Definitely informative and worth the read. I normally don't have a problem with idea generation, personally. However, this technique may have the ability to take my writing to the next level.

I found a new place for news on affiliate marketing as well. Thanks.

Thanks for the article. I don't have much of a problem finding blog ideas. 50 ideas in 50 minutes is no problem for me. I have a long... long... long... long (you get the idea) list of things in my notebook of blog ideas.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to go to the library, to either their computer/internet section or their writing section. One of the two will have a book similar to the one I found, all about different ways to create blog ideas. It even goes through how to determine a good blog idea, examining things like this point they made: Nobody cares what you had for lunch. Make sure that there is ample material to write about that people care about. A blog is useless if people don't want to read it or don't keep coming back. If you want to write about what you had for lunch, get a Xanga and tell your friends. if you want a successful blog, find something really useful to write about that people like and RUN with it.

The book is called "No One Cares What You Had For Lunch: 100 Ideas For Your Blog". It is a great read, and it comes highly recommended from an experienced blogger and creative writer. (I mean myself.)

Just write about your daily experience..it's enough and interesting for someone who follows you or your competitors.

Actually, I generated 25 blog post ideas in 5 minute so I'll tell you that this works. I got the idea from Darren Rouse (Problogger.net) who is running his 31 days to Building a Better Blog program right now. I don't have linking priveleges as yet but do check out his blog.

If you want me to explain how it works let me know and I'll try my best.

RE: creativityunlimited: That book title sounds interesting. I may just check that out. Thanks for posting it.

The idea of 50 ideas in 50 minutes is good if you're thinking long-term what kind of creative subjects you'd like to cover. It's the type of exercise writers use to generate ideas for short stories and novels.

For blog posts, this obviously varies depending on the blog's angle. Other things to consider is the creative methods used to deliver those story ideas. Might be good to explore doing things like podcasts and video on the subject you're covering in your post.

One of the things I did with my own personal blog, and what we're currently doing on our network's blogs is interviews with experts on various subjects. Might be helpful in sprucing things up and keeping the interest of your visitors.
