Right now on a few sites that we run there are opt in places for members to receive emails and newsletters. We found that placing them at the left hand side is the best option. However, I was reading through another affiliate resource site today and saw the box for signups in the middle? Anyone here switched the placement of the sign up box and found the best place on the page for it?

Forget about placement.
What are you offering me for my email address? In these day's of endless spam I don't just hand over my email address to someone I don't know unless you're offering me something for free that has huge perceived value to me on a personal level. Sell me on all the awesome benefits I will receive for subscribing to your newsletter. You do have at least 5 good reasons why I should sign up..... don't you? Gently lead me to sign up within your content... then smack me in the face with an awesome deal I just can't resist!. I always place my sign up boxes in the middle of the page. Actually I place my sign up boxes flowing within my page content. That's easy to do with Aweber. Offer me a free ebook or short report that helps me...... or a simple collection of links that will help me out on my quest for more information about your products or services? Yes I surf the internet for me. Not for you and what you're selling... I'm all about ME ME ME Give me 5 good reasons to hand over my email address..... BIGTIME ....and you will receive and prosper. |
