Default How do you get started with e-mail marketing?

Obviously you need some kind of list, and i've seen people building their lists using ebooks or some other subscription methods. are there any other quick ways to get lists to start with?

Yeah..Ebooks are nice way of list building..we started with ecards and did quite well..You need to offer free stuff which appeals the market and you are sure to build a list..But yes..if you offer a quality product which is paid..and people are interested in those products..you can count them as quality leads..!

I just started using ListWonderExtreme about a week ago and have almost 4,000 people in my list. You read 5 emails from other members a day and all subscribers to the site that day are added to your list. FREE members can email their list once per week, Upgraded members can email once per day.
The emails are all done through the site's 'inhouse' email. So you are not cluttering up your regular email with ads. Just log in, find 5 interesting emails to view and get people added to your email list. I have only sent out two emails so far - Got about 800 hits to my website since I posted the last one yesterday. Everything at my site is free, so I can't really say if this is quality traffic that will BUY. Got a lot of signups for my free to join affiliate programs, so I'm very happy with it.

I recommend to take free trial at aweber.com - they will provide you with great training for free on this matter.

Three suggestions:

1. If you use RSS feed, and that is sufficient for what you're doing, Feedburner can provide your RSS feed and create an e-mail subscription service that sends your daily RSS feed out to your subscribers.

2. If you want something more custom, AWeber is good, like Sandis said.

3. I've never tried them, but I've heard good stuff about ConstantContact.com.

If it is just about service, aweber, constant contact, getresponse, and vertical response are the four leaders.

If it is about how to get leads, take one of these services, attach the form to one of your internet properties (website, blog, ebook) and begin to collect information.

If it is about when to get leads, it is right now. No matter how much information that we share in this forum, if you do not read it AND use it, it's all for not.

You will also need a great delivery system once you have your list. Sugar CRM is pretty good and what I use for our affiliate newsletter.

The main thing you need to understand is that you have to treat your list building as you would any online business.

Have a look at this video which gives you an explanation of how to go about it.

Ultimate List Builder

hope that it is helpful,

cheers

Does the video actually give the tips or does it sell a course?
