Default Twitter... What can I say?

I wanted to get some feedback on what you like and don't like about Twitter. As you should already know Twitter has gained a large following as a social media platform and have become a micro blogging monster. How have you monitized your marketing efforts through Twitter and what are your likes and dislikes.

Regards,

I just signed up and I find that a good 30% of people that follow me tell me they have a great way for me to get more followers. It seems like all people want is more followers, regardless of what they say. I don't really believe anyone is turning a profit from it yet.

I get the same direct messages. The more followers the more traffic. I have made 160 tweets, have 300 followers, and have only received 60 unique clicks and 2 affiliates from twitter. So I guess there is something to say about twittering but to me it just seems lame. lol..

Using twitter for marketing and improve social networking is a good idea and allowing 140 characters to post is a good solution to get rid from log messages.. and it teaches us to post messages in short lines.
