Joomla Review For Newbies

As some of you know I am very new and I am in the process of designing and building my first website. One of my first newbie questions was: is there a program to help me build, design, and manage my site. Well, I heard about this program called Joomla.

What is Joomla?
Joomla is an award-winning content management system (CMS), which enables you to build Web sites and powerful online applications. Many aspects, including its ease-of-use and extensibility, have made Joomla the most popular Web site software available. Best of all, Joomla is an open source solution that is freely available to everyone.

Being a total newbie, I have absolutely no knowledge of code, or templates, nor any other technical skills that might be required to build a great website. However, because of all the great tutorials, tools, and extensions that you can get with Joomla, my website seems to be coming along very nicely. I must say that at first glance it can seem overwhelming, but the members of the Joomla Forum are very helpful and respond very quickly.

Although, I have no experience with other programs, I can highly recommend Joomla to anyone who is getting started.
