New Wordpress Blog Design - Please Review

Ironically enough, the same week we are launching this new site, I also had my personal blog re-designed. Give me the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I have used a few different wordpress themes in the past and I have actually been quite happy with OmniTheme.

I like the new layout and functionality of the site.

But I did like the old header on the old design much more than the new header.

Compared to the old layout, this one is much easier on the eyes. I really like this setup and the layout. I also like the area with your online profiles (what is youporn btw?).

Yeah I really like it. I've been trying to justify a design like that.... I agree with your initial post though, I think you have "out grown" your suit days for the most part..

I think the new blog layout is much more business like but personally I liked the style of the old blog a bit better mainly because of the fact it was easy to read multiple posts just by scrolling and it was very personable. I do however think the new blog is a better choice for establishing a more "professional" atmosphere and will of course continue to be a loyal reader!

Yeah I agree with John that it's more business-like, and I don't think it suits your (previous) style of writing - I haven't looked at anything new since you designed it so not sure if you've changed the style at all, but your style was a more chill out and shoot the breeze, laid-back simple blog, and this design is more professional so different contrasts. Very nice design though

Thanks for the feedback guys. My writing style in my blog will always be chill, and a shoot the breeze type of atmosphere.

The main reason I changed themes is because the old one had lots of bugs. Plus I wanted something more professional. I know it's a little more difficult on the eyes, but once you get used to the omni theme, you will actually love it. It's such a great wordpress theme.

Also I hope none of you are offended by that YouPorn link, it's just a hobby.
