Besides the idiotic things we see on ebay (ie: I'll name my baby something.com) is there any clear advantages to branding people in your gear? I know at specific events it can be great to have people sporting your logo (Shoemoney at every bloggers event). However, justs ending people things gets expensive. Feedback?

I recently went to the CAC gaming conference in Amsterdam and I brought with me some very nice Track Jackets to give out. It worked terrificly and was a very cost effective way for branding.
I also run PokerAffiliatePrograms.com which is a resource and community just for poker affiliates. So naturally, at this conference there were hundreds of people we wanted to get our brand in front of. We could have spent $5k - $10K on a booth in the convention hall. But instead we spent only $1K on these jackets. Everywhere you looked, there were people wearing these with our logo and brand on it. I am a big fan of doing this. The only suggestion I have if you want people sporting your gear is to get quality gear. That's why we chose track jackets versus boring T-shirts. |
