anyone see this in the news?

Woman fined to tune of $1.9 million for illegal downloads - CNN.com

this is RIDICULOUS. they only do this to scare other ppl right? and one sad person pays the price. how is a mother of 4 working for an indian tribe going to cover even a 1/4th of that during her lifetime? why would they do this? its just stupid and makes me hate record companies more

That's absolutely crazy. How do they expect her to pay it back? They might as well put her in prison. Then again $1.9mm for someone like that is like a death sentence.

It sounds so stupid that if tracks were available for download that's why she downloaded. if they did not wanted to out the tracks then why they were available for download on internet? not her mistake at all.
