I've managed a few different Google Adwords accounts over the years and have figured out some simple tips to help improve your PPC.
-ABC: always be changing. Constantly test things; new keywords, ads, sites, time zones, geo targets. Just play around. Sometimes something surprises you and works and if you don't make changes, you will never find out what that is. -KISS: keep it selective stupid. Do not try to advertise to everyone, you will run out of money. Use a tool like Google Analytics to track how long visitors from clicks stay on your site. Focus on the ones with the highest return. - LATC: Look at the Competition. Search your words, look at the other ads that come up. See what looks good. Rather than imitate it, top it. If you want some more basic lessons, Google has set up a learning center @ AdWords Learning Center
