For those of you who do PPC, what vertical do you believe works best for you? Some of our affiliates tend to like the health vertical the most. What about music and family verticals? Do you have a preference when it comes to PPC?

The only criteria I have are for the vertical to have a comfortable multiple of what I pay per click to what I make per sale. That not only goes for my PPC marketing plans but for all the ways I market. What is my risk to reward ratio on time invested/money invested to money made. PERIOD.

Derek brings up a good point in making sure there is a profit. Every vertical is constantly changing. It is a good idea to keep an eye on each vertical and see how things have moved every week or two. Terms that were once heavily searched but had low bids will get discovered and then they will have higher bids.

The music vertical is a lot of fun, because tastes are always changing. If you stay ahead of the curve, you can optimize campaigns for bands before they are really well known, and get out once they are too big.

I'm trying to get out of PPC now. It seems like the ROI is dropping as it gets more popular.
