how important is PR?

PR is great for gauging back links.

Link building has high value, but it means absolutely nothing without content. If you build good content people will be happy to link to you so having good content will only 'help' your link popularity in my opinion.

I 'do' agree that having lots of 'quality' links to your site is important, but these days search engines gauge a lot more than just link backs as most of you know.

I feel traffic and SERP are more important than Page rank. as through traffic and SERP we could actually make money and Page rank is nothing just a value to the site.

Yes, off page optimization can help in driving live traffic to your site in the same way i would like to know is, do alexa ranking matters if compared with page rank?

Alexa rankings are similar to PR in that they are just a signifier to let you know how you are doing. They are most useful to you to track progress or for others if they want to buy ads on your site. (or possibly the whole site) Alexa is not what it used to be though, you might be better off finding a different ranking system. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the info. and i am happy to know that my is ranking in top 93,000 sites in alexa and it's worthful i was thinking it's worthless before .

Yea Alexa rankings are good. But the major part to see here is that google constitute 90% of internet market then why to concentrate on 10%. I think if a site is optimized well on google, the 100% work is done.
