what kinds of images would people search about forex? Like if you were promoting a stroller or something, it would make sense to have a picture but what does forex have to look at? charts?

I just had a great example of this. I am getting a ton of traffic all of a sudden from Google for this very reason. I posted an image gallery on my blog of famous video game girls. Just under 50 images I believe. Now almost any search you do with "games" and "girls" in the search returns at least one of these images on Google on page 1 of the image search. Often they are also in the top results on the web search page and not just on the image search page.
I did name each image video-game-girls1.jpg, video-game-girls2.jpg, etc... and used the same text without the file extension for the alt tags.

I have had some traffic from google images but the honest truth is there is so much more pull from the search engine itself that taking time to optimize just for images seeems a waste of time to me
And funny enough my images that generated traffic from image search were not images I worked particularly hard on

Optimizing images of your website will help you to get good rankings in search engines, however, one should make sure that the keywords used in the images are relevant to the image. Sometimes, users tend to keep wrong keywords for images which is certainly not good
![]() Also, it is better to keep images where it is necessary to keep images, otherwise, it could be considered as a spam to promote content and website which can also affect the overall rankings and quality of website

Agreed, unnecessary image stuffing may be injurous for the health of website and if the name or unrelated image is used, it may give a wrong impact and a loss of visitor aswell.

Certainly, a visitor will come back on the website only if it has a good content. If the image is not related to the topic or content, the visitor will never visit the website and will also have a bad impression about the website which can prove to be a bottom out for your website in future.
