Default An ignored part of SEO

Everyone wants to rank #1 for their keywords on Google, but I don't hear much about ranking #1 on Google image search. I bet a lot of people do image searches for products and end up buying from a site that had a high ranked picture.

What do you mean they are framed? Like when they appear at the top of the page?

Images........... Yes a good way to promote your product. I usually rename my blog pics to my keyword so that people when search on those keywords get my site in the top.

The way we optimize for our contents, in the same way we have to optimize the images with the keywords or phrases for better results

I have even noticed that if we make a good stuffing of images in our articles, they are having pretty good searches but the thing i would like to point out is " will viewer read the article if he has come to our site in search of image?" really confusing

That is a good question and I guess it depends on what type of product you are promoting. If it is something intangible like phone minutes, they probably won't be looking for a picture of it, and so this strategy won't help. If however you promote something tangible, for instance surfboards, a lot of people search for pictures. If they see a cool one, they might just stop to read about it. (Guilty as charged)

Yes you have pointed out the right thing. These things should also be considered while optimizing.

Thanks for highlighting a good view.

This is often overlooked.

I have often read to include your keywords in your top 2 or 3 images. Google picks up on it slightly but this has a major effect with Yahoo. I tried it with a page I had hovering on page 2 of Yahoo and page 3 of Google. Within the week it was placement #5 on Yahoo and 1 placement jump on Google.

Good advice.
