Hello all, I am trying my first affiliate site venture. I've just completed the skeleton for my site's design and content and want to begin thinking about SEO....
What type of tools do you all use for SEO? I used GoDaddy to host my first site... which I probably will not use in the future, lol ... they nickel & dime for EVERY feature! But anyway, rant aside... they do have this program named Traffic Blazer which I was considering...Has anyone used it, or are there any better recommendations out there? |

I haven't heard about how Traffic Blazer actually works. I think that most of the things it does are things you will eventually be able to do on your own, but for now it will be a help while you are learning. While there are many tools associated with SEO, most are tools that help you find out information to adjust your strategy, rather than automatic SEOization tools.

Thanks... yea, Traffic Blazer is a GoDaddy add-on. I discovered that it is only good for one domain though, and if I want to use on additional domains, I have to purchase additional licenses.
So after doing a little more research... I discovered exactly what you are saying now. I can do all of the optimization manually... so I'm just going to take the time to read up & refine my SEO myself. Right now I'm currently reading from Google's webmaster tools... Anyone else have any other helpful links? Also, if my site is well optimized for Google, is it also pretty well optimized for other search engines? Or are there additional refinements necessary for some of the other top search engines? |

While there are differences on the other search engines, they all share some commonality. Most people focus heavily on Google, as it is much larger than yahoo or msn. It might be a good idea to start with Google, as there is so much available to read about it, and then move on to another engine.

Prefer doing everything manually..Don't use any automated softwares to get your site rank higher as it would net help long term..concentrate more on building backlinks and i am sure you would gain some positions in google ..!

I think that tool just tells you who is linking to you. It doesn't create any links.

Well, SEO work of you website is really important as your Online Success depends on the Search Engine rankings of you website.
