Hello All,
I have recently started getting traffic from Bing now that they got some of their indexing sorted out. Is anyone else getting much traffic from them? I hear they are overtaking or have overtaken Yahoo as of late which would give them the #2 spot for SE. Do you think once their advertisement campaign budget is depleted that they will keep crawling up the ladder and face off with Google? Personally I wouldn't mind seeing Google get some competition. HCG

I like their webmaster forums. They actually talk to you. Plus they allow dofollow links in your footers

Are any of the SEO tools updated to use Bing yet? I check my traffic for Google and Yahoo, but I"m wondering if the other stats are MSN or if they are updated to Bing.

I have started with understanding the algorithm of bing and its very different from google although it is giving us pretty relevant but different results for the search query.

Do you have any insights on the differences you have noticed? I hear Bing puts more preference on site age and title tags. They of course have preference for certain expert sources as well like the Mayo Clinic for health questions.

Their webmaster tools seem to be working for bing only....
The dofollow links from their forum give good backlinks to your site. This helps in all of the search engines. WM Tools Webmaster Center - Bing Forum Bing Community Bing seems to follow some of Yahoo and some of Google for rankings. Some SERPS match exactly with Google and others match very close with Yahoo. Others I cannot even find a placement for me on their SERPs. I hear "relevant" backlinks are a major key. But who knows? I do know that they are slow to index pages. This was even mentioned by one of their developers. He also said that they will eventual index Every page of your site, just at a much slower pace than the other SEs.

So everything will be indexed but only by 2010 and if you make any changes between now and then it will take until 2012 to update.... I don't know if that is going to work out for Bing. The quicker the indexing, the better I can track my changes and see what works best.
