Thumbs up US Visits to YouTube Up 26% from Last Year

Google’s YouTube accounted for 75.43% of all US visits among a custom category of 63 online video websites, followed by MySpaceTV with 9.01% and Google Video with 3.73%, according to May 2008 Hitwise data. YouTube’s traffic was up 26% from the year-earlier period.

The Online Video category accounted for 1.14% of all US internet visits in May 2008 - a decline of 9% compared with May 2007. Despite the decrease in US visits, however, the amount of time spent on the websites increased 6% for the week ended May 31.

Google is big and they know what to do with YouTube. That's why they paid such a good amount of money for it. Thanks for sharing.....some cool data

And yea! I just love the way they do they business and acquire potential businesses. Ofcourse, they can't make everyone happy but they've their own rules and they make good money - this is what I like about them.

And now, they're closing the Referral Progs - they know what to do when......however, I'm gonna miss referral earning

Lol youtube just doesn't stop growing.

It's obvious google knows what it's doing and besides that youtube is so integrated with internet right now that there is little chances of having it start losing it's power.

YouTube is the most powerful when it comes to videos and it'll continue to dominate for long because of the power behind it...but it's somewhat difficult to use YouTube for traffic.

I don't think so. If one knows how to market on Youtube, then probably he/she must be getting tons of viral traffic.
