Hi Greg,

I want to make clear for anyone who reads this response that I never take copy and cut and paste it -- that would be against copyright law. Could you elaborate so that if something does appear copied that I can fix it immediately? You also mentioned "Alt Tags," I'll have to look that up to see what they are, or if you have know of a good description and can post a link, that would be great, too.No, I didn't expect that you'd be able to advise me on the women's shoes -- unless you were a shoe buyer, of course. But I was hoping for some general tips & feedback about the site. I think it's a great idea to add my own descriptions of the shoes. I'd heard that I should add content, but I wasn't exactly sure how to go about doing this other than adding a blog. Im still wondering if I should change the template to more of a CMS-oriented one like what you might find on a Wordpress or Joomla site. What do you think? Quote:

By coppied text I didn't mean you were copying a site, what I meant was this page here Welcome to The Narrow Shoe.com - Men's Shoes Page Though it is obvious to a user that you are not copying it, but rather presenting a description from Zappos, a search engine robot will not know that. It is generally a better idea to have your own descriptions, especially if you want to rank when someone searches "Narrow Allen-Edmonds - Park Avenue" for example.
It would be a great idea to have your own descriptions of shoes and how the narrow version compares to the normal one. Maybe you could start planning that for your next phase of the website. As As for alt tags. Right click and image and select properties. You will see a small window appear and at the bottom is will say, Alternate Text. Now I thought you did not have them, but I just went and checked and most of them were there and perfectly too. You want to alt text the name of the shoe and include some keywords like "sandals". I'm hoping that you went in and updated everything last night because if not, it means I'm loosing my mind and I thought I had a few more years before that happened.

Greg, Thanks for clarifying! That makes good sense, and I'll do that. Sorry to say I didn't go inand update everything last night, so, I also hope you're not losing your mind, LOL! What I imagine what must have happened is that you saw the site had a lot to do with women's shoes and your brain was immediately clouded over by the thought -- does not compute -- which is exactly what happens to me when I glance at sites that I have no interest or experience in either -- trying to think of an example of something my husband is really interested in that I'm not -- I know, sports statistics, LOL. I've already started adding my own descriptions, which is going to take quite a while to do, but I think it will make a difference. I'll keep you posted! Jessica |

I am trying a high link density concept that I want to develop for mobile and small screen devices, at links2start.com and would welcome your comments. Thanks.
