I was visitor 420! On that note, it might be a good idea to hide the counter until you get a little bit more views. I like how you are trying to bring a good feel to the site, but some parts are a bit hard to read.

Good start though, keep up the work and keep reading about new ways to improve your site. There is a lot of good info right here in these forums.
