Throughout this week we are taking a focus on free tools that’ll help with the content marketing element of your affiliate marketing business.
We, humans, learn information or experience entertainment in many different ways.
For many the preferred media is audio.
Audio isn’t distracting and doesn’t require a full commitment compared to the written word or video.
People can take your audio in the car, out for jog, keep it in the background, or become the main focus.
You’re already used to explaining your expertise when you talk with friends, family, and business contacts. All you need to do, now, is hit the record button.
The following are a few free tools to record, edit, and publish audio content to give another layer of content to your affiliate marketing business.
Audacity may not look the prettiest but it’s absolutely packed with features that will allow you to edit just about any and all audio files.
The tool is free, of course, and available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. With the tool you can record live audio, record computer playback, convert media, edit all major sound files, cut/copy/slice audio, change the pitch, add effects, use plug-ins to extend its features, and much more.
The simplicity of the program is the drawing point – anyone can jump right in.
- Extremely easy to use
- Ability to use just about any sound file
- Plenty of features for editing
AudioExpert is an online audio editing tool which means you’re no longer restricted to the desktop which is great for when you’re on the move and need to do quick editing.
The tool comes with everything you’d expect from an audio editing suite such as the ability to use multiple file formats, cut or crop audio files, merge files, convert files, record audio, and batch process the conversion of audio files.
You will need to register in order to use the program but you can’t beat free, right?
- It’s online
- Convert files from a URL
- Massive choice of file format support
Last on the list is MP3Gain.
To be honest – there isn’t much to be said about the tool because it serves one specific purpose: to normalize your files.
Sometimes when you’re recording multiple segments you may have changed the audio parameters which means when you piece them together the sound won’t match. MP3Gain is there to normalize the sound to stop these big spikes or low points.
Consider running your files through this tool first and then finish it off with the other editors before publication.
- No quality loss during conversion
Don’t be afraid of your voice
Adding an audio layer to your content and marketing efforts will bring out the humanity in what you have to offer. Hearing your voice leaves the visitors assured that you’re committed to bringing value rather than doing a snatch-and-grab.
Remember that people have different preferred methods of content consumption. Bring them audio and you’re sure to find listeners.
