True or false: one website can serve the needs of all people? Obviously, this is a false statement. As a webmaster, it is important to determine your target market and then create content based on your findings. Although it will take a bit of extra work, it is possible to optimize your content in different languages.
As an affiliate marketer, you don’t want to put anybody off. If somebody is willing to visit your site and click through to one of your offers, you should be more than happy to accommodate their every need – regardless of where they come from or which language they speak.
Think about the Search Engines
It does not get any better than organic traffic. Although many affiliate marketers spend a lot of time and money on pay per click (PPC) campaigns, most would be just as happy with the same amount of traffic coming from organic searches.
By optimizing your content in different languages, you can pick up traffic from a variety of search engines. In the United States, for example, most searchers rely on Google.com. Of course, this is not the case in all parts of the world. In Spanish speaking countries, the majority of people turn to Google.es.
By providing Spanish-language content, you have a much better chance of ranking high in Spanish search engines. This holds true for all languages.
Create Language Specific Pages
The last thing you want to do is jump from one language to the next as you write your content. If the first paragraph is English and the second is Spanish, you are going to confuse the majority of your audience. Rather than get caught up in this mess, create language specific pages on your website.
Create the majority of your content in the language spoken by your target market. Along with this, add a few language specific pages to help your site rank higher in non-US search engines.
Simple Sentence Structure
Many people use automated tools to translate websites from English to their native language. The issue with this is that these tools are not 100 percent accurate. In turn, the results may be “jumbled” and difficult to decipher.
By using simple sentences you can be guaranteed that the translated text will be close to what you are actually trying to say.
Optimizing your content in different languages will allow you to attract a larger number of visitors, leading to increased sales and profits.
