Every affiliate marketer these days tries to find the fastest, easiest to manage, and cheapest way of running their business.

Among the first things/tools that come in mind is WordPress. We can honestly say that there’s no better website management platform available, not only for affiliates, or bloggers, but also anyone who wants to make their presence on the Internet.

WordPress is free, constantly updated, has a huge community of people creating new plugins and themes. And speaking of which…

Even though great, WordPress is very rarely used in its default form. The easiest way of differentiating your site from all the others is to find a quality theme. One that has a high-quality design and provides additional functionality to make your work even easier.

While the most obvious approach to take for new affiliates is to go out and try to find something free, this isn’t the best approach, unfortunately.

You see, WordPress itself is the work of many men – a great community, but individual themes are usually crafted by single people or very small teams. What we’re trying to say is that some themes are free for a reason.

Even if someone is a good graphic designer and their themes look attractive, they are most likely not coded well. Others that have been created by professional programmers often lack some good looks. And so on.

Therefore, when it comes to themes, you have to invest a modest amount of money to get yourself something really nice and of high quality.

So where to go for those? For us, DIYthemes and their flagship product – Thesis Theme Framework is a great place to start.

What is Thesis by DIYthemes?

Calling it just a theme would be an understatement.

Thesis provides a lot more than just some sample graphics and an out-of-the-box layout.

The keyword here is “framework.”

Thesis is a platform in itself. It offers a big range of options and customizations you can do with your default theme.

For instance, right from the get-go your affiliate site/blog will be search engine optimized (SEO), its load times will improve (i.e. your site will load quicker), you’ll get tuned up typography for great readability and clarity, and most importantly, a range of controls enabling you to change almost any aspect of your design without touching the actual source code.

Yes, that is right, you don’t have to be a programmer to change something about your site’s design, you can do it on your own.

Among the things you can change: layout combinations (number of columns), alignment of content and sidebar blocks, colors (font, background, links, etc.), fonts used, logo, graphics, and more.

What’s also worth mentioning is that you’re never on your own. In case you experience any problems whatsoever you can always get in touch with the support staff or get some help from the member-only forums.

Is Thesis Worth the Money?

First of all, what the amount of money we’re talking about here is. DIYthemes offers two licenses for Thesis.

  • Personal Option – $87. You can use Thesis on one website. Access to the aforementioned member-only forums. Lifetime upgrades and a 30-day money back guarantee.
  • Developer’s Option – $164. It’s a bit more expensive, but you can use it on all sites you own, not just one. Except for this, the rest is about the same.

Our advice is this: if you’re just searching for a quality theme that will be able to run your site, without any problems, and with a support team waiting to help you with anything then go for the Personal Option. If you’re planning to use the theme on two sites or more then select the Developer’s Option.

In case you’re still wondering whether you should get it at all, here are some sites that are already using it:
